friday night i was covering the book release party for al heathcock’s short story collection “volt” and hillfolk noir played before and after the reading. they did a couple classics that i recognized--“the cuckoo” and a great rendition of “cluck old hen.” i really enjoyed their performance. hooray for singing saw...too bad it wasn’t miked properly.
