mangocheeks & andrea--here here. it's hard to understand how there can be so much hatred and fear toward certain groups of human beings, how pervasive it is, with so many forms of ridiculous institutionalized homophobia (like "don't ask, don't tell") still in existence today. there are a lot of pitifully ignorant people in this country.
goneferal--i was impressed by the turnout, too. not only was senator lefavour there, also representatives walt minnick and sue chew. not that they matter more than the other attendees but it was great to see support from legislators.

It hurts and just breaks my heart at how cruel and judgemental people are toward others who are just a little different from them.
