thanks all! goneferal--i bet you picked up those seeds at the swap, right? i got a packet there too and i just gave them to jason because apparently they thrive in shade, and he has a super-shady bed to fill. m & resting nomad--maybe you've heard of "money plants" or "silver dollar plants" before? they're often found in dried flower arrangements...they just happen to grow wild all over the place here. they look a lot different earlier in the season, with green leaves and little magenta flowers.
